Consortium Deloitte Tax and Consulting and Charles Oakes Luxembourg, are big winners in European Investment Bank IT consulting call for tender

The consortium of Deloitte Luxembourg, and Charles Oakes won the European Investment Bank’s (EIB) recent IT Financial Consulting (FINCON) call for with an estimated total value of 205 Million Euros. The main disciplines include IT consulting, financial applications and support of core banking applications used be EIB in key investment decisions. The framework will run for the next six years and covers both onsite services at EIB’s Luxembourg headquarters and offsite services.

Consortium Deloitte Tax and Consulting, Charles Oakes and MBR Luxembourg, are big winners in European Investment Bank IT consulting call for tender

The consortium of Deloitte Luxembourg (leader), Charles Oakes and MBR won contracts in the European Investment Bank’s (EIB) recent IT consulting call for tender securing places in three lots (the call for tenders had an estimated total value of 145 Million Euros covering 12 lots). The main disciplines include IT consulting, financial applications and business intelligence (BI) management. The framework will run for the next four years and covers both onsite services at EIB’s Luxembourg headquarters and offsite services.

Charles Oakes and Net Service win €26 Million contract at EU Court of Justice

The Court of Justice of the European Union in 2019 launched the tender COJ-PROC-18/026. The objective of this project is the implementation of an integrated adaptive case management IT solution (hereinafter referred to as ‘integrated case management system’ or ‘SIGA’), based on an adaptive case management tool.

The contract was awarded to a grouping of economic operators composed of the leader Net Service S.p.A. and the principal Charles Oakes. The total value of the contract is over 26 million euros over 5 years.

The ultimate goal of the SIGA is to increase the efficiency of the whole institution, limit the duplication of operations, and enhance the interoperability system between the Court and external stakeholders. In particular:

SIGA will be used, as a central tool, by both legal areas (Court and Tribunal) and by all ordinary and support services (Chancellery, Registers, Administrative Department and Directorate for Multilingualism); national jurisdictions and parties will be able to connect externally to SIGA to interact directly on their cases.

Activities include project management, detailed analysis, configuration (modelling), the development, provision and installation of the dedicated infrastructure, the provision and installation of the necessary software licences, the implementation of operational management procedures, training and any other activities necessary for the operation of the new system.

Mr Charles Oakes, Owner and Managing Director of Charles Oakes & Co generously donated computer supplies to St George’s International School, Luxembourg. St George’s students were extremely grateful to receive the IT equipment which included a server, several laptops, desktop PCs and various networking cables and switches. The equipment has helped enhance students’ learning by allowing them to programme and experiment by dissecting and reassembling the parts.

Charles Oakes wins €80M deal with EUIPO

The consortium lead by PWC with Charles Oakes & Co. as sole Declared Subcontractor has won a place in the parallel cascade on the €80 Million CAS Framework Contract at European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), formerly OHIM.  This framework is to deliver Consulting, Audit and Studies to EUIPO for the coming four years.  Located in Alicante, EUIPO has the challenging task of promoting and managing Community Trade Marks and Community Designs within the European Union. It carries out registration procedures for titles to EU industrial property and keeps public registers of these titles. It shares with the courts in Member States of the European Union the task of pronouncing judgment on requests for invalidation of registered titles.

Charles Oakes wins deal to supply EU-LISA as a Subcontractor to UNISYS

EU LISA is a European Agency for the operational management of large-scale IT systems in the area of freedom, security and justice. Amongst other projects this agency is responsible for the information system of the Schengen space (SIS _ Schengen Information System).

The agency is spread across two distinct geographical locations, namely at Strasbourg in France, and Tallin in Estonia. The contract in question will provide IT expertise to both locations to a total value of approximately €45 Million over 4 years. Charles Oakes has won this contract as a subcontractor to UNISYS.

The consortium of Charles Oakes and Unisystems has been reselected for a parallel framework contract to deliver IT Services with a value of €20 Million for ECDC, the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control.

The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) is an independent agency of the European Union (EU) aimed at strengthening Europe’s defences against infectious diseases. It was established in 2005 and is located near Stockholm, Sweden

The consortium of Charles Oakes & Co. and Novitech a.s. has been awarded the second position in the cascade multiple framework service contract AO 10513 at the PUBLICATIONS OFFICE based in Luxembourg. The overall value of the contract is EUR 3,000,000.00 over a period of 4 years.

This award covers the provision of consultancy and assistance services regarding management of information technology projects. Other related services to be provided include studies and analysis, support, testing, elaboration of documentation and follow-up of deliverables and applications.

Charles Oakes & Co. in Partnership with CRI and Quantos awarded second place in cascade for SDMX Lot 4 with EUROSTAT in Luxembourg.

The consortium of Charles Oakes & Co., Quantos and CRI has been awarded second place in the cascade for Lot 4 of the SDMX project at EUROSTAT based in Luxembourg. This covers the provision of system and user support for Eurostat statistical production applications, which are highly specialised and tailored towards the equally specialised nature of EUROSTAT’s activities. The agreement is for a duration of 4 years.

EUROSTAT is a Directorate-General of the European Commission. It’s main responsibilities are to provide statistical information to the institutions of the European Union (EU) and to promote the harmonisation of statistical methods across its member states and candidates for accession as well as EFTA countries.

Partnership with Unisystems for ECDC Stockholm

Charles Oakes & Co. in Partnership with Unisystems wins €20M deal with ECDC Stockholm

The consortium of Charles Oakes & Co. and Unisystems has been selected for two lots in a parallel framework contract with a value of €20 Million for ECDC, the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control.  The lots are for the provision of ICT Operations, and ICT Development and Maintenance and will run for 4 years.

The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) is an independent agency of the European Union (EU) aimed at strengthening Europe’s defences against infectious diseases. It was established in 2005 and is located near Stockholm, Sweden

For Charles Oakes & Co. the work involves the provision of expert resources on a time and material basis across the organisation.

Charles Oakes & Co. & Unisys win deal with OHIM Alicante

Charles Oakes & Co. in Partnership with Unisys wins €13M deal with OHIM Alicante.

The consortium of Charles Oakes & Co. and Unisys has been selected to be the first priority contractor in a cascading framework contract with a value of €13 million for the provision of programme and project management and technical consultancy in the field of Information Technologies for OHIM, the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (Trade Marks and Designs). The contract runs for 4 years.

OHIM located in Alicante, has the tasks of promoting and managing Community Trade Marks and Community Designs within the European Union. It carries out registration procedures for titles to EU industrial property and keeps public registers of these titles. It shares with the courts in Member States of the European Union the task of pronouncing judgment on requests for invalidation of registered titles.

For Charles Oakes & Co. the work involves the provision of expert resources on a time and material basis across the organisation.

STIS is an acronym for Support and consulting services for Technical Informatics Staff. The total value of the contract is €35 Million. The end-client within the Commission are the Directorate-General for Informatics; Resources and Logistics Directorate; Finance and Contracts Unit. Specifically the services to be delivered comprise information system infrastructure solutions engineering, development, support and testing

The winning consortium comprises IT Service giants Intrasoft and Unisys.

Charles Oakes & Co. Sole Declared Subcontractor for €80M Contract at EMA London

Charles Oakes & Co. has won the place of sole Declared Subcontractor to the winning consortium for a major framework contract to deliver to the EMA, the European Medicines Agency in London. The winning consortium comprises two very well established and experienced companies in this sector, namely Intrasoft International and Trasys. The 2 lots have a total value of approximately €80 Million and will cover provision of resources for online transactional processing systems, and provision of ICT Systems on a quoted time and materials or fixed price basis. The contract runs for 4 years.

The European Medicines Agency is a European Union agency for the evaluation of medicinal products. It is comparable with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and funded directly by the European Union as well as the pharmaceutical industry and indirectly by Member States. EMA is based in London.

Declared Official Subcontractor for DESIS II

Charles Oakes & Co. has been declared as an Official Subcontractor to successful the consortium on DESIS II, the largest IT systems contract with the European Commission.

Charles Oakes & Co. has been announced as Official Subcontractor to the one4EU2 consortium providing the European Commission with a broad range of information technology (IT) services.

The work will be carried out under the ESP DESIS II (‘External service provision for development, studies and support for information systems’) Framework Contract, the European Commission’s biggest framework contract in the IT area with a total estimated value of EUR 200 million over the next 4 years.

Under the Framework agreement, the specific contracts with the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Informatics (DG DIGIT) will see the consortium play a key role in the provision of diverse IT services to many Directorates-General and agencies of the European Commission.

The ESP DESIS II contract, divided into six lots, covers a wide range of IT services, including the development, implementation and maintenance of information systems relating to document management, web content management and geographical data management as well as the tools used for information and data analysis. In addition, ESP DESIS II includes work on information security and quality and tasks relating to user assistance.
